Club President
Shrey Mukherjee has been a member of the Community Reading Buddies (CRB) program since the summer of sixth grade. Starting out as a youth mentor, he has worked with various kids who were at times early English learners from immigrant and low-income families. He is now a lead mentor and committed to expanding the reach of CRB through the CRB @ QLS Club
Club Vice President
Adrian Schmitz is in his second season of Community Reading Buddies through CRB @ QLS. Being a lead mentor, he works with many other mentors and buddies throughout his week. He enjoys helping others and works well with younger students, making him a diverse mentor. Adrian always enjoys working with buddies and can improvise well too!
Fundraising Manager
Rihan Kachare has joined Community Reading Buddies through CRB @ QLS. He’s been tutoring at CRB for around a year. He previously has helped with managing finance for programs in the Bay Area, and he hopes to be able to raise donations to Community Reading Buddies. His prior experiences have given him a diverse selection of skills and experience.
Social Media Manager
Avani Jain joined community reading buddies over the summer through CRB @ Quarry Lane. She has had many experiences with teaching and finds joy in helping children learn. She has a passion for graphic design and is well-versed in social media management.
Faculty Mentor
Mr. Hennigar teaches English at the Quarry Lane School. Originally from Deerfield Beach, Florida, Mr. Hennigar earned his BA in English Literature at Hamilton College and his MA in English Literature at King’s College, London. While pursuing his MA in London he wrote and directed a play which he then brought to Los Angeles, before returning to his teaching vocation. In addition to his work in theater, Mr. Hennigar has published fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
